User Manual - Jellyfish Lamp

Introduction

To make correct use of the functions and to know the system’s connections and usage, please read this user manual carefully before using the product. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.


Getting started

  1. Unscrew the screws on the battery cover and insert 3 x AA batteries (not included) into the compartment. Tighten the screws again to lock the battery cover.
  2. Pour water into the jellyfish lamp. Stop pouring about 2 cm (1 inch) below the top.
  3. Add 1 to 2 drops of liquid washing-up liquid. Use the tip of the supplied stirring stick to measure the amount of washing-up liquid and add it to the water.
  4. Place the jellyfish in the tube and stir to remove any bubbles.
  5. This product can also be powered via a USB power source (maximum 5W). Connect the USB cable to the product and then turn on the lamp.

Care and Maintenance

  • Always fill the tube with cooled boiled water. This will keep the water clear for the longest time.
  • Change the water if there are impurities in it. Carefully remove any dirt on the walls and bottom of the tube with a soft brush.
  • If a jellyfish is floating upside down or stuck to the bottom, gently tap the tube or move the jellyfish with the stirring stick provided.
  • If the jellyfish stop moving after a while, change the water in the tube.
  • For optimum lifespan, do not leave the lamp on for more than 6 hours per day.


Warnings

  • Do not ingest the jellyfish or other small parts.
  • Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the device for a long period of time.
  • Empty the product before opening the battery compartment.
  • The lamp is for indoor use only. 
  • Keep out of direct sunlight.
  • Always place the product on a flat surface to prevent spillage.
  • Not suitable for children under 5 years of age.
  • This product is suitable for USB adapters up to 5 watts. USB power sources with a higher power rating than 5 watts (such as fast chargers) may damage the product.
